Expol: The ultimate DIY timber floor for all seasons

Insulation acts as a barrier to the flow of heat, working to keep your home warm in winter and cool in summer. A well-insulated home can reduce your need for heating and cooling, which in turn is an effective way to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions that your home produces.

If you are investigating which timber floor insulation is the best solution for your home, check out our comprehensive guide below, which covers all of the choices available in the Australian market.

How Expol Underfloor Insulation Works

Heat naturally moves from places of high thermal energy (hot air) to areas of low thermal energy (cool air). In your home, heat continues to move around the inside until the temperature is consistent in all areas of your home.

Without proven insulation solutions such as Expol, this can become an issue in winter when the warm air escapes and leaves your home uncomfortably cold, and in summer when unwanted hot air can sit inside your home.

By insulating timber floorboards you manage the natural flow of heat throughout your home and achieve a comfortable temperature cost-effectively year-round.

Customer Reviews

I'm very happy with the end result, we didn't use our heater half as much after the Expol insulation was installed and our baby boy crawling around the floor probably noticed the most difference, without getting such cold hands and knees. We are very happy with the product and service provided.

SallySydney

We are very happy with the installation of Expol, even though it's only been a bit over a week since it was installed we have noticed a big difference & find we are turning the air conditioner off about 1 hour before going to bed because the lounge room is so warm, which we have never done before. I would have no hesitation in recommending your product & your service, which was excellent.
